Common questions
How do I unlock Nooma Premium?
Open Profile → tap Unlock Nooma Premium → tap Unlock for $4.99. Apple handles the purchase. The unlock is tied to your Apple ID, so it follows you to any device signed into the same Apple ID.
I bought Premium but Nooma still shows ads
Open Profile → tap Unlock Nooma Premium → tap Restore Purchase at the bottom of the paywall. This re-syncs your purchase with Apple.
If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that made the purchase under iOS Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases.
How do I cancel or refund a purchase?
Nooma Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there's nothing to cancel. For refunds, go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and report the Nooma purchase. Apple handles all refunds; the Nooma developer can't issue them.
How do I enable Apple Health logging?
Open Profile → tap Apple Health → grant the requested read/write permissions. Each completed session will log as Mindful Minutes in Apple Health. To change your choice later, go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Nooma.
How do I turn off ads without paying?
Ads only show in the free tier. Nooma Premium removes all ads. There is no separate "ads off" toggle.
Why does Nooma ask to track my activity?
This is Apple's standard App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, the ads you see may be more relevant. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", you'll still see ads, just generic ones. Either choice is fine. You can change your mind under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Nooma.
My streak reset / sessions disappeared
Nooma stores everything on the device. If you delete the app, get a new phone, or restore from a backup that doesn't include app data, your local history is gone. We're working on cloud sync for a future release.
The Apple Watch app doesn't sync to my phone
- Make sure both devices are signed into the same iCloud account.
- Make sure the iPhone is unlocked at least once after the watch session ends.
- Open Nooma on the phone to trigger the pending transfer.
If sessions still don't appear, email me with the session date and exercise name — I can help debug.
A reminder didn't fire
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Nooma and make sure notifications are allowed. Reminders are local and don't require any internet connection.
How do I delete all my Nooma data?
Delete the Nooma app from your iPhone. This removes all locally stored sessions, streaks, mood entries, and settings. There's no server copy.
For data already logged to Apple Health, you can delete those entries under Health app → Browse → Mindfulness → Mindful Minutes.
